Once I've beaten all the staff ghosts, Moo Moo is definitely the time trial I'll end up getting super into.

Looks like it's been ramped up a good few notches, just re-watched the new trailer via my Switch & noticed that some character (It was Sheldon) was air dropping in specific weapons.  Dance

I'm definitely up for that single-player. Ask me again after I've spent five days trying to get past level 3 because I can't aim... Still not sure about their sense of humour though.

Anyway it's looking good. Thumbs Up! Seen a couple of people criticising it for looking a bit like an expansion pack, but I thought that was most shooters?  Unless they radically change the setting and that.  Maybe Spla3n (no - Ed.) will be set in World War 1.

We will see Balla but as someone who used to play nothing but shooters, very few shooters feel like expansions.

They all feel like expansions. It's harder to notice when everything on the market looks like a real-world war-torn city, whereas Splatoon has such a distinct world design.

I guess it's why Super Mario Galaxy 2 feels like an expansion pack, because every other Mario game is so distinct it's odd to have a sequel with the same style and HUD and everything.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. What qualifies as a sequel in most game franchises feels weirdly like an expansion from Nintendo. It's why New Super Mario Bros. feels so odd, as did Mario Karts 7 and 8 at first.

It'll all be fresh to me, so I'm not fussed on how different Splatoon 2 is compared to its predecessor. The single player looks sufficiently bonkers - I was expecting arena or corridor shooting, but there's almost platforming elements to it based on the trailer!
