Last Game You Finished And Your Thoughts V3.0

I'm curious, did you actually watch Black Mirror all the way through, or just to an "ending". It's really not a game, it's a non-linear TV show.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I did.

I might be totally wrong to put here and not in what I watched. All I can say is how I feel about it along with seeing how others are talking about it with most calling it interactive entertainment or along those lines.

Either way, I said what I thought on it be it here or elsewhere on the forum.

Moss is an interesting game as it was well reviewed and seemed to be liked by most but Astro Bot came out this year also on PSVR. Now they are different in visual style and I'm yet to play Astro Bot but I believe that is more of a 3D platformer where Moss is more about Puzzles in each section.

Yet because they're both played in the same viewpoint with you looking down at this little character, Moss now has been overlooked.

It's like Antz and Bugs Life.

I got to say though Moss is a whimsical game and Quill the Mouse is adorable

Or Deep Impact and Armageddon, or the Illusionist and the Prestige, or Megamind and Despicable Me . . .

I completed The Foreigner, Annihilation & The Cloverfield Paradox last night and while most of them had a decent plot their gameplay was nonexistent.

I know you're taking the piss but they have almost same amount of gameplay as #wargames though.

Those are some good games Jas, but I've got a better one.

I completed the DVD Logo Screensaver.



Plot: A slow build, this one. There's a mounting tension throughout the whole game. The game makes you feel unsettled with each bounce, but the climax of the story (THAT corner moment) was worth it. 9/10

Graphics: The main character was colourfully designed and a treat to watch, but the backgrounds and environments need some real work. 4/10

Sound: Trash. 0/10

Replayability: Worth a few replays. There's alternate endings - I got the bottom left ending on my first playthrough. 7/10

Overall: 10/10

The Pro scene for DVD logo screensaver is nuts though, just look at this crowd reaction.

Apologies to Mas, but Jay's post was a belter.

I finally got around to playing Undertale and after some frustrations finished this afternoon with the pacifist ending.

Now I did like it but playing years after it came out and not in the whole hype around it, looking at it now I sort of want to compare it to Celeste as that is another great indie game that been way overhyped due to being a clever piece of interactive media.

Will, I play Deltarune more than likely when it is all done as what I do like from Undertale will likely be carried over but I'm in no rush to play more of that.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

So, I finished this off Friday night (well, the main story at least) and it's an absolute belter! While the gameplay isn't bad it's really the world and story that make this great, feels like a big old mash up of Game of Thrones, the Batman Arkham combat with a bunch of mythical beasts thrown in.

The quest system is superb as well, where you have secondary quests, Witcher contracts and treasure hunts. Also even though they are labeled secondary quests some still feel important to the overall main story or they are just fun little self contained stories where you are helping out small villages etc. I still have the 2 dlc expansions left to do but I'm going to take a break to play other games and then return to it in a month or so but this really is one quality game.

Titanfall 2

I blitzed through this last night and while short it is fantastic. It just feels great to play and dear I say it has Nintendo-like design where they'll have this really cool idea that the whole game could easily be based around but it'll be there for one level then it'll be onto the next cool thing.

Plus ye have a big robot pal.

Now that was three bloody good videogames.
You play much multiplayer on Tites, Jas?

I played the beta MP a while back but not touched it in the full version yet, it'd be cool to get a wee GNamer squad for it.

I found it was one I could really enjoy even I dipped in alone. The movement and the shooting just feels good.

The multiplayer was good but it's pretty much dead now

Thats a shame but I'm not surprised, it didn't do great numbers

Aye, I remember there was some sort of grappling hook move in MP as well eh? I think I have a clip saved to my twitter where I attached to another player and kicked them in the face.

Hopefully this doesn't stop it from getting a sequel.

Titanfall 3 is meant to be this year but so is Jedi Order from respawn plus knowing EA they'd have Battlefront III this year as well.

And they'll probably release them all the same week as COD again, too.

GRIS
Nintendo Switch (obviously. Id rather not bother playing a game than play it on any other machine)

This is a very beautiful game. Gorgeous hand drawn visuals, wonderful musoc throughout. It begs the question, though: is that enough? It doesn't really have anything else going for it. The gameplay is simplistic and rarely challenging, the story is all vague themes and didn't really say anything, nothing landed for me emotionally, its all pretty linear . . .

I need to think about this a little more and write a full review.

Hope you do think about it and come back with a written review on why it's excellent, not sure if I've said before that GRIS is rather excellent.

Given how completely aligned your and Drunka's tastes in games are, I'm sure he'll do just that.

Reading a Drunka post in this thread without a 10/10 slapped onto it feels wrong, almost.

For an indie game the reaction to GRIS seems really mixed compared to others. (Though I did only look at snippets of some reviews)
