Obviously the goal on Facebook is to graduate to texting as soon as possible. The way it tends to work out is you vaguely arrange a meeting (ie decide on a day) then say something like "here my number, text me to work out the details". |

| Yeah I've tried to arrange to see Thor 2 but never actually got answer but still been talking to her about all sorts of things like bridgwater carnival (buska you should know where I mean) and found out things like she has kids. |

| Thought someone would say that, but she is nearly 26 so is it something to be expected of someone around that age. Also what does it say about me if I do run away. |

| Running away would be a dick move for sure. If you like her, it's not the end of the world that she had kids. On the other hand, you definitely need to take things nice and slow. Also, try and find out how long she's been separated from the sad, what relationship they have etc etc. If you find yourself competing and the other guy had kids with her, that's not great news. |

| I'd be really really unhappy about dating somebody who has someone else's children, but then I am a grasping selfish person. |

| I'd be in a similar state to Balla, it's something that'd definitely change both the nature of a relationship as well as any future plans you have. You'll always have to come second to a kid you don't feel as strongly for (at least straight away). Of course maybe you could become Masofdad. |

| It's not ideal and it does change the dynamic, but if you like the girl is not the end of the world. The thing that makes the big difference is how often the kids see the real dad; in any relationship I've seen where there's a kid (that actually works out), the dad is out of the picture so the fella can form a relationship with the kid. Anyway, don't worry about any of that! Don't start writing about a huge long term relationship while you're still not even out of the friendship phase. I'd never do something like that... Meeting up would be cool. |

| Hmm you seem to know lots on the subject buska, see I feel her kids should see there dad but that might just be me as I've only got one parent, not seen my mother for 16 year's.

| I'm not an expert at all, I just happen to know a couple of blokes who've had really great relationships with single mums and a couple who've had awful ones.
So yeah, remember when I said we need a thread for this sort of thing? Who's laughing now? |

| Good luck to you, mas! The best dating advice I ever received was "Be yourself - but not too much". It worked, too, but I have no idea if it'll apply to you as well as it did to me. Just keep talking, if you can, but most importantly of all, keep listening. |

| Might be worthwhile making a "GNamer's Agony Aunt" thread or something like that.
Good on you though Mas! Progress! |

| LinkedIn. And a heck of a lot of other aspects of the corporate world, actually, but let's focus on the least interesting social network out there, which is apparently necessary to succeed in most things nowadays.
Let's expand that to "networking" as a whole. Socialising with people you have nothing in common with, in the hope that they'll exercise nepotism somewhere down the line. |

| Oh God yes, the whole business world. Everyone I know who had a decent job had it because they knew someone, rather than because of any sort merit. Not that I'm bitter or anything, I love being on the Tesco management scheme... |

| On that subject, people who do their own fireworks and set them off really slowly with no thought or planning so you get bored and stop paying attention and miss most of them. |

| The thing that's most annoyed me recently is a policy thing at work. I don't really want to get into it, so let's just say that I might be getting it in the neck from someone for something that was not my doing. |
