City were a total disgrace yesterday, Pep has some serious work to do as he's need to get rid of dozens and bring in at least 5 top class players.

I only caught the first half of the Liverpool game yesterday. We were 2-0 up so I assume we went on to win 5-0 or something. Yep...

Spurs are doing wonderfully, and Harry Kane is only four goals away from winning me a breakfast Grin

That said, there's still a big part of me that wants Leicester to take it. For the banter.

I just can't see Leicester blowing it like Liverpool or United in recent years as they've learned to still win games when there playing bad.

Leicester get closer and the FA Cup Final is finalised (er): Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace. Could be an interesting showdown, though I've learned to never expect an exciting FA Cup Final.

In other news, Forest win a game - and an away game, at that! Shocked

Celtic are stumbling over that finish line but at least we can still clinch the league next weekend, though Hearts away can be a tricky game.

Although I don't have the football fever at the moment, I'm sure I'll catch it eventually. I'll set up The Great GNamer Forum Euro 2016 Sweepstake tonight. Thumbs Up!

I don't think Drinkwater's as revelatory as everyone else seems to think; however, I'd take him over injury-liability Wilshere and perpetual non-entity Henderson.

I know it's risky, but I think I'd play 4-1-*-* - there's no point in having 2 deep midfielders if they're going to be a waste of space, and we've got so many good forward-thinking midfielders at the moment, you could probably play any 5 - and run the risk of winning each match 6-5.

I know it's "not quite the same", but I got me the Euro-fever after watching that recent documentary about the 1966 world cup. It's the closest - where possible - they've got to interviewing everyone.

I love a good tournament although I stupidly turned down a chance to have the first week of it off work Duh! part of the magic is being able to watch 3 games a day, 7 days a week, even when that includes teams like Albania

Looking forward to the Euros as it is always nice to have competitive international football on the telly; fairly underwhelmed by our squad though.

I think Drinkwater should have been called up. I don't care that Wiltshire and Hendo both passed fitness tests, Wiltshire has played something silly like fewer than 150 mins this season. He doesn't get a call up. So much for all that Roy prattle about picking in form players.

I'm sure Wiltshire is better, but if we're going fitness risks in the midfield only take one gamble and choose between him and Henderson.

Individually I like all of our forwards, but I'm one of those chuffsters who would have picked Andy Carrol ahead of Sturridge!

The reasoning is simply that he offers something no other England striker does - aerial dominance. You don't start him, but if you think a set piece could win the game you send him on for a header late in the game. His strike rate was very good this year, and so often in international football a set piece is what makes the difference. On the other hand, while all excellent players, with the exception of Rooney (if he's even a forward now) our attackers are fairly similar in terms of their game.

It's 'Large' Samuel Allardyce as England manager! BBC News story here. I heard a bloke at the train station earlier today saying that "long ball tactics don't work in international football", or words to that effect. As long as the players are no longer labelled as lazy prima donnas by the fans (i.e. they display a bit more passion), I'll be happy.

England are already boring to watch and now they will be even more so, I reckon we will qualify for the Word Cup just fine with what will be about 4 draws.

But he was really was the only option if you went English part from Howe who is just to young for the FA.

So today Nottingham Forest's manager was - justifiably - sacked. The rumoured takeover has fallen through and the current chairman's popularity level is around the Nigel Farage, Piers Morgan kind of position. It's almost enough to make a grown man cry... except I'm struggling to give a monkey's at the moment.

How are your teams doing, everyone?

Terrible - also our beloved former manager died Aww! . I know Graham Taylor was a tad maligned as England manager, but to Watford fans he was a saint.

The mighty Bath City FC have nobly decided to cease defeating other teams. Draws for everyone, and mid-table mediocrity for us. Ah well.

Zero, if it's any consolation, the year after I moved out of Leicester they got promoted to the Premier League and then, well we all know what happened. It looks bad now for Forest, especially as I'll be in Nottingham for another year, but when I leave, Forest will be great I'm sure!

Number 2 Grin

Here's a thing, when was the last time the top three was the three big London Teams like this? Almost like London is the one good bit of England or something . . .

I reckon there's a big editorial in there about how much of English Football is played by immigrants, and those immigrants no longer feel welcomed in Brexit Britain, but london voted Remain and is more multicultural.

A fantastic weekend of Prem football.

West Ham win comfortably without their star player Payet. Chelsea do the same without Costa.

Man City thumped by Everton - could Pep finally adapt his stubborn tactics?

Oh yeah, and Spurs were incredible! Best performance I've seen in a long time. I was worried more about the West Brom at home game than the Chelsea one, as we usually slip up at home to teams like West Brom - it's nice to see us brush them aside with ease.

Yeah, weird to see two teams shine without their star player while ours properly turned up for what felt like the first time this season.

That's the beauty/ terror of being a Spurs fan (delete as appropriate): no matter the game, there's always an element of danger Razz
We have a remarkable ability to drop the ball in what look like impossible-to-fail circumstances.
