Haven't pre-ordered this yet, though I will have to do so soon.

Sidenote: actually 'Anthony'.

D'you know, I'm still not sure? Roo's idea of downloading it so it's always there interests me, though.

Am I the only one heavily sceptical of this? What annoyed me no end on the old games was having three or four villagers with exactly the same personalities. Let your own memes spread around the town, and the only difference between a large bear and a short penguin was the instrumentation used in their jingle. I'd like to be able to tell Roald and Teddy apart this time please.

Tempted to download this but only if the save data is saved to the onboard memory. Otherwise it's a physical purchase. But I kinda miss my daily fix of AC. Missed out the Wii version, rebought the DS a while back but couldn't get back in to it. Didn't have the motivation to get my HRA back up to over 300,000 xD

That did frustrate me with the only two versions I've played (Wii and Gamecube), hope that's been changed. The only other thing that bothers me is the 'rolling log' effect when you travel around your town, as seen in the Wii version. Apart from that, I'm really looking to this, will be my first time playing AC on a portable console, and first taste of online on it too.

Shamefully, I've never played an Animal Crossing game, bar a quick go on Wild World. So yeah, looking forward to this one.

Really? I love the rolling log effect. It seems to me to be a great way to set the land beneath the ever-changing sky.

I'm a supporter of the log actually, although it does feel a bit like you're living on a cylindrical world...

Peronally I'm just looking forward to being able to play an AC game properly, I couldn't get into the Wii one because I wasn't willing to fire the wii up for asuch a short period of time a day, and the DS one was far too expensive for such an old game. This shall be my first proper venture into the world of Animal Crossing.

The Log Song - the best thing to come out of Ren & Stimpy, in my opinion!

When I think of Ren & Stimpy, I think of Log. Simple as.

***

I'm reluctant to pre-order this with ShopTo because they want 32 for it. I'm hoping Amazon don't have their greedy hats on when they set the price for it and aim to be a little more competitive.

I'M GONNA PAY FORTY QUID FOR IT ON THE eSHOP.

Said no-one.

Ever.

Considering Wild World gave me almost four years of daily play for 30 dollar, I think I'll stretch to 35 squids for NL.

I'm a bit reluctant to pay 5 more than I have to if it's cheaper somewhere else. I'll get my money's worth from it for sure, but I'd rather get the best value for my money.

I admit since I don't own a 3DS at the moment I haven't bothered keeping up to date with AC news (though I spent many hours on both the GC and DS ones), so have the holidays been reintroduced for the game? One of the most annoying aspects of Wild World was the fact they took them all out - well that and the characters were even more samey and repetitive than the GC version.

Actually, I said that over on the NGamer Forum. The convenience of have Animal Crossing accessible at all times on your 3DS Home menu is worth an extra five/ten quid, in my opinion. So long as it's out on the same day as the retail version, I'm virtually set on downloading it from the eShop for the aforementioned reason.

If it's implemented properly, it could be one of the biggest draws of the game. If I'm honest, I'm more worried about whether old characters are used effectively. Namely Tortimer, Booker and Copper. Booker and Copper were almost completely redundant in the DS outing.

Tokyo: I don't know if holidays are back, but I certainly hope they are.

That's roughly when the US get it, which is a week before Europe.

That's cool, wonder if we'd get the A:C 3DS along with it since we are like the only ones without the Pikachu 3DS now
