How about a vote for the capercaillie, a bird so good we had to do a project about it in primary 5.

Ah yes, the capercaillie. I watched a David Attenborough show that covered them. Apparently they're accomplished mimics.

I think they look pretty manly. Big chunky red eyebrows and a bushy black beard.

Blue tits are so cute and fuzzy. Love

We used to have them nesting in the garden every year until the orchard behind our house made way for a massive, ugly building.

I was just thinking the same thing...awwwwww.

I used to want soft toy birds when I was growing up, I always found birds adorable. I never did manage to track down this soft toy Robin that I so badly wanted. /memories

Laughing

I've always been fascinated by the antics of birds. I suppose it helps that they've been part of the family for almost sixteen years, too. I couldn't imagine domestic life without a pet bird.

Legend. As well as hilariously being named 'Gobbles' (which has an 'alternative' meaning up here in TCK/Jay/Jaster/Rum Land), he was the old mascot of Nintendo World Magazine's tips pages. No idea why.
