In the actual Japanese script, does it mention the master sword resting "forever?" This was really bugging me last night vis-a-vis A Link Between Worlds.
Yes, this is what keeps me up at night.

I'd imagine the French version is a direct translation of the English, but there was a bit more creative license between Japanese and English. If both versions use the word forever, that means anything a narrator says in a Zelda game has to be taken as embellishment, so this really is a "legend". Because it didn't stay on the rock as of LBW.
