Greggs Spicy Meatball Lattice

Snacks! Reviews/'reviews' welcome - Page 16 CroppedImageWyI0NjAiLCIzNjgiXQ==-Spicy-Meatball-Lattice

Pros:

"That's-a-spicy meat-a-ball!"
Uncomplicated
Wolfable-ey more-ish
As good cold as it is hot

Cons:

Hello? Meatballs? Where are you?
Basically Dolmio sauce in a pasty
£1.30? Ruddy hell.

Sounds better than it is. This is standard Greggs: not particularly exciting, but decent enough. Looks bugger-all like that picture, mind. Might treat myself to something I'll review positively tomorrow.

I think it's been reviewed already, but I finally gotten round to trying out a Cadbury's Egg 'n Spoon, and wow!

I quite like how the chocolate isn't as sweet as Cadbury's, and how rich the mousse is. Just wish the eggs weren't so tiny, since the RRP of around £4 isn't really quite justified by the novelty of it all.

Apparently they are based off a similar (and by similar I mean they ripped off) product from Milka (Milka L'il Scoops) which don't seem to be sold here. Which makes sense given Kraft now owns both brands...

Pulled Pork Sandwich
Wetherspoons, £6.49 with a pint
Snacks! Reviews/'reviews' welcome - Page 16 Bbq-pulled-pork-sandwich-without-chips-and-onion-rings-504
Overall, it does taste good. You get loads of chips and onion rings, more than I can eat at 10pm after six cans of cider, with a pot of coleslaw and decent bbq sauce. Good stuff. The chick who works at 'spoons but who also works at Tesco and who I kinda like but not anywhere as much as I really fancy one of mates but everyone says we have ridiculous sexual tension whenever she serves us refused to bag up my onion rings because she could apparently tell I was just being a dick. Also, pulled pork I a proper spot today is nice but in a fast food/ ready meal scenario the meat is just textureless. There's nothing there. The sauce is nice, the flavours there, but you're buying into nothing. A poo a mmHg e omission, a shadow of the true meat.

"A shadow of the true meat" is oddly poetic, but it's totally cancelled out by the previous bit.  Laughing

Haha, very funny Mr. Minimise. Good joke. However, I can assure you this is still Buskerlily, alive and well. The post from which you drew your wild assumptions was little more than a reaction to beverages I consumed. I don't drink often, you see.
Now if you'll excuse me, I will return to my Go - bot collection.

Pulled Pork is great but works best as an accompaniment to something else like a burger or hot dog.

That's fucking weird. I haven't even thought about jelly babies in years, but I went to London today and what took my fancy in Tesco this morning? A big bag of jelly babies. Then I get and the Kid's been at the same classic Tom Bakerian beauties.
Have to say you underrated the green ones, but other than that, sold review.

Walker's Pops

Snacks! Reviews/'reviews' welcome - Page 16 Pops_2

Pros:

- Tasty (the sour cream and onion ones, at least)
- Healthy (cos we all look for that in a crisp)

Urgh, I don't see the point. Crisps exist - eat crisps, then go for a run or something. The same people who buy those things on a regular basis probably think that having only ten per bag is beneficial, because it, like, stops them from getting faaaaaaat.

(I really wanted to write "I dinnae see the point" there, but I'm as southern as a bucket of jellied eels being poured down a Devonian drain and I don't want to be seen as taking the mickey. Still, the Scottish accent is much better for expressing disgust/disapproval.)

I was working until gone four this afternoon. So when I got home and realised I had nothing for tea, I had to buy it from the Esso. A pot noodle, a rustler's and . . .
Snacks! Reviews/'reviews' welcome - Page 16 Jack-links-beef-jerky-sweet-hot-25-gram
Not a popular choice here in the UK, but I understand that it's eaten on the regular in the US of A. I've only had it a couple of times but today I saw it on the shelf and thought "you know what? Yeah."
Taste
Pretty nice, actually. I seem to remember the last jerky I tried wasn't all that, had a funny aftertaste but this was alright. Just spicey enough to be fun, not so spicey as to feel unpleasant after the fact. Spot on.
Texture
Slightly chewy. Not entirely convinced the manufacturing process was as natural as the bag leads on.
Value
Barely any in the bag for the price I paid, but is that the jerky or the Esso?

Hula Hoops Potato Hoops BBQ Beef flavour

Snacks! Reviews/'reviews' welcome - Page 16 Img_6215

I decided the other day I wanted to eat all healthy and avoid too much rubbish food then later that day my Mum informs me she bought some of this and curiosity got the better of me and gladly so. Made a plate full to share as a late night snack but immediately got a taste for them and wished I saved them for when I was alone, they're incredibly true to the crisps in flavour but with all the brilliant texture of chips. I also seen that they (Iceland) sell McCoys and Wotsits in the same way when searching for the image, happy days.

Pros:
- Only take 10 minutes to cook so easy to snack on.
- Good both crunchy and soft.
- True to the hula hoops flavour.

Cons:
-They have to end, gone in two platefuls.

+It's not for Balla

CONS

Spar Bombay Mix

Snacks! Reviews/'reviews' welcome - Page 16 Spar_bombaymix

Pros:

Decent amount of crunch
Alright bang for your buck (WORTH £1)

Cons:

Much too much flour/powder, by about five billion percent
Very dull, stale taste, quickly followed by a hot, hoachin' aftertaste of what might be described as 'shat'
Nothing special about the presentation - could easily be a Artoon game
Unpleasant at 09:24 on a Wednesday morning

40%

Ladies (no ladies) and gentlemen, we have the World's First Bouffin' Bombay Mix™! It's relatively cheap and edible enough, but it's bland, bland, and more bland.
