Much like the Scalebound news it may come to no shock at all that their might be some sad news not just in the world of Xbox but gaming as a whole.

As today rumours have started spreading that if Sea of Thieves from RARE underperforms the studio will likely be closed due MS unable to keep pouring money into projects and studios with little to no return on their investment such as Lionhead closing and Scalebound being cancelled.

If this were to happen Microsoft would be left with 343 Industry's who develop Halo, The Coalition who do Gears of War, Playground who do Forza Horizon, Turn 10 who do Forza Motorsport, Mojang who do Minecraft which appears on other platforms.

I can't see MS want to lose the IPs though Zero even if the studio is closed.

That won't be a problem - Nintendo have plenty of IP's that Rare could work on - or even do their own.

You do know most of the actual rare now work elsewhere and the studio now is RARE just in name but has a history in gaming which may come to a end.

I thought we had a Elder Scrolls or Bethesda thread somewhere but I can't find one. The reason I'm looking is we have just had news ESO is getting a massive Morrowind expansion.

I tried getting into ESO at launch but couldn't then I got it for Christmas as my dad thought it looked good and was something for me to open on Christmas day from him.

With the Switch upcoming I traded in 4 games today FIFA 17 which I will talk about elsewhere, Deus Ex Mankind Divided I bought it for £7 as I heard good things but seeing I could get a tenner for it and I've got similar games like Dishonoured 2 still to play which I sooner play and the same goes for The Evil Within as I've got RE7 to play.

Seemed daft to keep them in my collection collecting dust and eventually drop to peanuts which I could then pick up again, same went for ESO which got traded in today but now that Morrowind is coming I want to give it a go and I actually sooner pay the £39.99 for a physical edition with all the ESO content (Base game and 4 DLC Packs), then what would have been £29.99 just for Morrowind.

Just when you need to be focussed on the Switch.  If you're not selling it as both then you're releasing an underpowered home console with a 'hook', which last gen. should have taught you is a mistake.

I hadn't posted as it's a a odd one, as I'm not what he could have said.

If he had said no it would confirm Switch is the 3DS replacement and at the moment, they want to keep them separately. The only thing now he has said they may have plans to replace, starts speculation.

With talks of wanting to shift 100m Switches they better hope it's also replacing the 3DS.

As far as I'm concerned, all of this is par for the course, with the exception of the bullish assertion that he thinks the Switch will sell as well as the Wii (newsflash, brother: you'll be really lucky to hit those numbers again). Of course Nintendo are researching (and developing?) a new console, because nobody should sit still. If people are now going to go "Well, I'll wait for the 3DS successor, then, and not bother with a Switch", they're going to be waiting a while.

They said the same thing about a successor to GBA when the DS came out. They'll definitely be developing new projects, as Zero said, because that's what R&D departments do. At the same time, Switch is a new thing and new makes shareholders worry, so this is probably an empty platitude for them.
