Titan Souls (Out April 15th)

I didn't know about this game until I read the latest issue of edge, apparently it was in the Sony e3 conference (that might show how bored I got of that presentation) but I don't for the life of me remember it.

Anyhow essentially the theme is "you only get one" which means you if you get hit once you are dead but the genius thing is the bosses run on the same rule, so the entire game is those heart pounding boss battle moments you have in other games where you just scrape past and win on your last bit of health.

Interesting, I didn't know about the 1 hit system, that sounds like it might get really annoying. I suppose I'll have to wait and see what it's like to play it.

I just finished the game jam version and its not really frustrating, unless you make a stupid mistake (like roll into the boss) I just found myself getting more determined after each death.......its a bit like Hotline Miami in some ways.

It was part of the devolver package if I remember correctly, it does look interesting and another great indie title to come to the PS4.

Double post (worth a bump though) As this is now coming to Europe on April 15th.

It's the kind of game I'd love a demo for, but I just know it won't have one...

I saw it's part of sony's kinda rip-off of summer of arcade but for the spring starting with helldivers, seems a great line up of stuff along with Titan Souls which I'll look to pick up.

Is share play still a thing on ps4? As I'll most likely be picking it up so if it is compatible with that I'd could let ye try it out or you could try the game jam version that's linked in the first post to get an idea of it.

Oh yeah! I still haven't got around to trying that. Might just take you up on that offer.

The EDGE review gave it 5 (five). It still intrigues me, and EDGE have been famously wrong in the past.
