I am confused by this but I figure I will start the topic. Nintendo is confirmed to be publishing Devil's Third.

This looked really good. Is it the third in a series or is that just a name? Surprised it didn't make the presentation, which probably lacked shootybang to a lot of people.

It's a new IP which was coming to PS360 he started on it after he left Team Ninja after the sex scandal (I think), So might of been a good one for Nintendo to pick up and have a more "hardcore" game on the Wii U.

Thanks for the info mas. But why didn't Microsoft pick this up? Surely something like this would have had publishers begging to pick it up?

Interestingly I would have missed this had N not stepped up. I'm glad they did.

It's worth adding that this was originally due to be published by THQ. It took a long time to be picked up after it collapsed, by comparison to Relic/Company of Heroes and DarkSiders.

I missed the IGN gameplay demo which had Itagaki there, but I did catch the Treehouse playthrough, which was still very entertaining and informative.

I really like the look lf this, and how it doesn't take itself too seriously, and the various multiplayer modes and customisation look genuinely inspired and downright funny. In fact, the whole thing (particularly making a game that's as fun to die in as it is to win) reminds me a bit of Team Fortress 2, and the option to enter a team game as 'free entry' was made for me, as I used to play Team Fortress 2 without actually caring about the team activity in 2Fort.

I caught up with the treehouse play through earlier and the multiplayer looks absolutely bonkers, love a game that doesn't take itself too seriously so I'll be definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

So this is out on August 28th.

On a serious note just watched the trailer, looks to be in much better shape the last years E3.

I'll probably be picking this up as it looks like yer no nonsense action film except in video game form, natch.

Yeah, I probably will grab this as I'm always in the mood for some extra shooting. Whether I'll be keen enough to make a day one purchase, between Batman and Metal Gear, is another matter.

That's a very good point! I keep forgetting that MGSV is so close.

It's a hard one as it's a 3rd party exclusive Wii U game which also is a bit niche for a Nintendo system that it might become hard to pick up after launch but August at the moment is looking a okay month & that's before E3 which stuff liekly to get announced for maybe that month.

It's fine if your just Nintendo but if MS have a good E3, I could be all 3 platforms again that it be right down on the pecking order.

NoA aren't publishing this due to quality issues, that doesn't sound good. The yanks are still getting with XSEED or someone picking it up.

But from my last post on here, Aug is quite in till the 28th and there a few good things that I would sooner be playing then this.

So NoA is publishing this after all, but it's happening quite late, probably because they picked it up again after fan demand. Have to feel bad for them, though, since it's going to launch after the PC version (which by all accounts looks identical to the Wii U's multiplayer mode, right down to the golden eggs as in-game purchases) and most of the people who wanted a release probably won't buy it anyway. But at least it shows that they are listening.

I have to say, that trailer makes the game look like a lot of fun, and while I'm sure it's heavily flawed, the online looks like it might be good.

Out this week, is anyone taking the plunge? It's reviewed quite well and to me looks like a lot of fun, something that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Despite what I've said in this thread previously I won't be getting this day one as there's so many better things to be purchasing over the next month.
