Yesterday I Bought (a bad pun) for 3!

I received it as a digital code off my dad for Christmas as they didn't have any copies in store, so I think that it might indeed be a rare one!

Yeah! Laputa and Totoro are great. They I think do the best job of showing the magic of Ghibli.

Totoro is one of my favourite films of all time. So sweet.

Ordered these a couple of days ago and they arrived today, I love them so much & there really isn't enough Monster Hunter merch going about this side of the pond so I hope this means there is more to come. (bought from here)

Last purchases for a loooooog while arrived today.  *Sigh*  It's going to be a long six weeks.  Unless I enter Miser Mode, but, well, you can't spell miserable without miser.  

Anyway, the missing third volume of The Dagger and the Coin series to complete that, and Hack//G.U. Last Recode for the playstation 4 (see, I do occasionally buy games released in the last century!).  



It'll all be worth it though. Just wish I had the money to nab a couple more Discworld novels, they make the perfect book to fit between fantasy epics.

Get yourselves down to ASDA ladies (no ladies) and gentlemen - they've started a big games clear out. I bought Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, The Division and Shovel Knight on PS4 for a combined ten quid. 👌

I'll try again next time I head that way, but my local ASDA is a bit crap.

We've never really ever got anything in ours either.

I went back to that ASDA and bought Steep on PS4 for a fiver.
I also got LA Noire on Switch after punting a load of PS3 games I got in a charity shop at the weekend. Dirty scalping, I know, but I basically got LA Noire for nine quid, so that'll do nicely!

That's an American version of Wind Waker, I wouldn't normally go near a players choice but the American boxes don't stick out as much unlike the Europeans ones plus it was only £12 and is now my 4th version of Wind Waker as I've got a PAL and JPN version on Cube plus the HD one on Wii U.

Talking of Wii U, I got TMS #FE for £25 which is a okay price, I've not seen it for ages and I'm in the the camp wait for a Switch version but Zero has given it such high praise and I did tweet out should I pay £25 for a Wii U game in 2018 (which is a little odd as I would spend that on a Dreamcast or Cube game) with everyone going yes for that one. Switch version bound to be announced in the next direct then and this version to be worth a fiver.

Then two more Studio Ghibli films in HMV's two for £25 which gives me 7 films which are numbers 5-11 in the collection, I'm thinking next I'll go 4 & 12 then 3 & 13.

I read the Tokyo Mirage Session YMMV page on TV Tropes a few days ago (here) and it basically said that there are several reasons to talk the game down. Whatever happens, enjoy. Also, I've seen Grave Of The Fireflies (but only in French, on my year abroad). It's peak bleak, as I may have already mentioned on La Twittère.

Fun fact: they originally put Totoro in a double bill with GotF because the latter was so bloody depressing.

Totoro is as well if you've fan theories.

Grave of the Fireflies is my favourite, love that studio Ghibli's work can cover such a broad range of topics.

They really are an immensely talented bunch. The Pixar of the East, I'd say.

Got the best Star Wars game ever made which on the Xbox One looks like a remaster and you should all have look at playing it even the iOS version (it's likely bad though) and keeping with the Sci-Fi theme with the best film of 2017, Blade Runner 2049

No pictures but I got Batman: The Telltale Series for the Switch yesterday, as well as the eShop voucher that enabled a purchase of Celeste. I traded in all bar four of my Wii U games to achieve that, though.

Telltales Batman is really good, I've just bought season two (I don't ever talk about downloads I buy often on here) and I hope you enjoy & can't wait to hear your thoughts as I don't think you would have played many Telltale games to due to the lack of them on Nintendo.

Whilst I've not played the more recent Telltale games, I did make it all the way through Sam & Max Seasons One and Two, as well as the Back To The Future games and the episodic Tales Of Monkey Island, all on the Wii. Some of them were downright unplayable: hopefully the Switch is easier to program than the Wii.

Things changed after those with The Walking Dead and all follow the same vases since then but still have issues that Telltale really need to address with a new engine.

I went into infamous Japanese store Don Quixote yesterday, well known as a mad mix of products. I picked myself up a couple of packets of amusingly flavoured kit kats - apple, green tea and strawberry cheesecake - and I finally let my willpower be broken when I found some Splatoon hoodies at reduced price.

After some exploring, I took my bits and bobs to the till. The lady was a little flustered by my good looks and excellent grasp of the Japanese language, even dropping my change at one point. Anyway, after we'd shared an awkward chuckle and said our thank yous, I walk out and slowly do my mental math. It wasn't until I was half way down the street I realised: she hadn't charged me for the hoody!

I didn't feel comfortable with trying to explain the situation with my limited vocabuary, so I left it. I feel pretty bad though, like a right Logan Paul.
Still, it is really comfy. Does this qualify as a "Yesterday I DIDN'T Buy"?
