| Why aren't more people talking about this? It's so damn good! Might just be my favourite Mario sports game ever. |

| Because I'm saving it, possibly until August. I'm going on holiday and will want something substantial to play then, and don't know if SSB3D will be out. Expect a massive necrobump to this thread in three months' time. |

| I've some how put 7 hours into it even though I've only the one cup with a 10 under in the end after a million attempts which saw bowser always beat me by 1 or 2 under more than me.
Are you setting up a tourney Dusty as that be better than trying to set up a online game. |

I beat him today after a ludicrous number of attempts, the cheating bastiche that he is. |

| Right then, tournament play time: welcome to the GNamer Open!
Fairly basic one to start: it's Stroke Play, the lowest score over nine random holes on the Seaside Course wins, and we're playing with strong wind, so be careful out there! I've removed Miis and downloadable characters from selection this time around. Closing date for this is 11:59pm on Sunday the 25th of May. It's a private tournament, so you'll need the code to enter (hopefully no outsiders will invade), this week's code is: 20-8778-3615-8865, enter the code via the Quick Round section of the main menu, then go to 'Tournaments' and then 'Private Tournaments'.
Will try and remember to do one of these each week for as long as people are interested in them/the game. If anyone has suggestions on what they'd like to see included in future tournaments, let me know in the thread. Best of luck! |

| As Saul Iscariot touched on, you can have as many goes as you like until the deadline is up. I've played this tournament a few times, and I think it's quite fiendish: it starts out easy with a couple of par threes, and then throws out a couple of tricky par fours towards the end. |

| I don't know why, but it is often par 3 holes that throw me for a loop. Even in the main game, par five is usually and eagle or birdie shot for me. Par four ends up as birdie or par, but a par three hole and almost without fail par or bogey. |

| I'm usually alright at the Par 3's, even got a hole in one once.
My downfall is still putting especially from a distance |

| Despite owning all the various Mario Golf's and played many of the Everybody's Golf series I have never managed a hole in one. I've gotten dang close at times. |

| I got a completely accidental one in Toadstool Tour. Completely missed the third press of the button, added super backspin, it overshot drastically and reversed into the hole! I was a bit embarrassed whenever I watched it. |

| I got a hole in one on this on the day I got it. Annoying thing is, World Tour doesn't have the option to save replays, so I can never relive it. The game says I have six hole in ones, most of these came in the One Shot-One Putt holes, which are par twos. |

| Still a few days left to enter the first tournament, -8 is the score to beat/equal so far.
In other news, the second chunk of DLC is out today. |

| I scored -7 earlier today in the GNamer open, it really should have been -8 but I over hit a putt on the last hole & had to save it for par, it was only my second attempt so I think I can do better. |

| The first GNamer Open has concluded, let's take a look at the final scores. In third place, with a score of seven under par (-7), it's... - Spoiler:
THE_JASTER!!!
In second place (technically), with a score of eight under par (-8 ), it's... - Spoiler:
ME (DUSTY KNACKERS)!!!
And, in first place, also with a score of eight under par (-8 ), it's... - Spoiler:
KIERON!!!
A quick look at the final top five... - Spoiler:
Decent efforts from Saul Iscariot (Paul) and fronkhead (JamesM), but just not enough this time around.
So that concludes the first GNamer Open, thanks to everyone who entered and posted scores, hopefully we can get a few more participants on the next tournament, I'll set it up later this week, and it'll run for ten days or so. If anyone has any suggestions of what they'd like the conditions of the second tournament to be, feel free to suggest them below.
