Okay, so I pressed that button on your first reply in that Isaac thread, and all that seemed to happen was your post was highlighted a darker shade of grey. Anything changed on your end?

Thanks! All it appears to do is turn your post dark grey, which, as I'm sure you'll agree, is one of the most significant improvements in this forum's brief history.

You will notice that I realised my folly shortly after, and thus switched to twenty-five.

Re: the 'Thanks' button. At the moment, I can only see them on threads I started. When I pressed it in 'thanks' to one forumite, all the Thanks buttons in the thread were pressed at once. In short, .

Is this one of those little forum foibles we should keep in? You know (as Balla once said), one of those things were a newbie signs up, asks what said feature does and we all go "Oh come on, you don't know what that does? ".

Followed by, "Never mind, I'll send you a Member of Parliament about it."

At Gwyn's request, I've activated the forum's calendar functionality. It sits on the forum's toolbar just below the title and tagline.

Feel free to have a tinker with it (the calendar).

I was going to ask about calender! Noticed some days are underlined, but doesn't say why/what is happening?
Thought it could be used for events etc.

Just been looking at the calendar, weny. It seems that the day you're on is highlighted in bold, and new topics can by synced to the calendar by adding an event title and date (the options for that are below the 'Post' window that you type in when creating a new post/message).

Perhaps Jay can use it for his retro game topic?

I gave it a try, but beyond clicking through certain days and pressing the search button futilely, I'm pretty much clueless as to how to work it. Unless it's accessed from in a thread, I've yet to try that.

Quite possibly - there weren't any options for syncing a thread to the calender like Stu said, I left the calender feeling stumped and inadequate.

Hmm. You may be right, Jay. I have the option to sync an event to a thread...

It's a bit silly, but I suppose it's a measure to prevent everyone from turning the calendar into Wikipedia.

The calendar is probably something that can easily be sorted by messing with the permissions somewhere

No prizes for guessing what's new today.

What I mainly want to know is: does it give just the right level of impact at that size, or is it way too big? I think it will be smaller when Jaster's mascot is up there, but for now I quite like it how it is.

Aye looks fine to me, as you said it can be adjusted if need be when adding the mascot, just one wee question will the forums light blue border be changed to match it at any point? (Could go with red or the dark blue)

The last time we tried to tinker with the forum colours, you wouldn't believe how much trouble it caused. Remember when all the links 'disappeared'?
