| This isn't far away at all! Come Friday 1st November, NoE will be offering a free 31-day trial of the full game through the eShop, with just the old Wii Balance Board (available pre-owned in GAME with the original Wii Fit for just £6.99, last I saw) required to play. An permanent extension of your download is available for the price of a Fit Metre (£19.99 on Amazon).
This could work out massively cheaper than buying it at retail in December. Is anybody interested?
~
I bought Wii Fit with the Balance Board a few months ago in anticipation of getting this. That it could be mine for a combined £30ish (and even cheaper than that for some of you) is really tempting. I'll see how much use it gets in the first 31 days though. |

| Like Stu (er, Boo?) has been doing at various points this year, I'm not going to buy any games in November... but, yes, I'm up for this. I've put on some weight recently (which is totally unrelated to an increase in wine and chocolate consumption and a complete lack of going to the gym), so if WFU can help me lose a bit, I'm all for it. |

| My understanding is that it's better to have the meter, which costs. The year has been financially battering and I've far too many other games whose surfaces I've barely scratched. Besides, the game and its meter are going to be far more useful to me post-Christmas than before. |

| Well if you got a bored you can still play for 31 day's the trial, that's what I'm doing. Then make a decision then in December. |

| Is the trial able to be started at any time or is it just a specific 31 days? If so I'll save it til after Christmas. I tried doing some Wii fit in Juneish and it was helping me, then I moved flat and it all got lost. I also fear going back to it for the lecture the balance board will give me. |

| Any time up to end of Jan I think, you get 31day's trail from when you download. Not sure what will happen when you download on the last day if your 31 day trial will go all 31 day's or just the last day. |

| I actually broke out the old Wii balance board in preparation for this. I'm pleased to see I'm far slimmer than I was the last time I tried it lol. |

| So, anyone want to create the official GNamer gym community, then we can not lose weight together? Interesting that some exercises require 2 Wiimote Pluses for one user. That's gotta be a first and it opens up all kinds of interesting control possibilities going forward. |

| Didn't nintendo show years ago at E3 stuff using two wiimotes but we never got anything using it right. Sounds a good idea about the gym, I need to download and go buy board. |

| I'd like to jump straight into this, but I'd like to hang on and pick up the full package in December. I don't have a Balance Board any more, and I'd like to have a physical copy of the game as well as the Wii Fit Meter.

| I'm up for joining at some point too, does joining a community start those Miiverse autoposts or am I remembering this incorrectly?
I'm quite enjoying Wii Fit U. There's far, far more content than I ever imagined there to be, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that all the content from Wii Fit and (I think) Wii Fit Plus has made it in. I never owned Wii Fit Plus, but I saw the "Plus" difficulty under some of the balance games, as well as some balance games which don't seem to use the GamePad but weren't in Wii Fit.
It's great that it imports your save data from the Wii game too, along with all the high scores. While I've only tried the balance games, what I've played has been really fun and inventive, particularly the game where you're a waiter and the snow one where you sit on the balance board (er, forgot what that's called).
Only thing that worries me is how the GamePad makes menu navigation and so on a lot more complicated. Is it possible to use a Wii Remote with this game, or will it still force you to pick up the GamePad when weighing etc?
I'll certainly pick up a Wii Fit metre to 'unlock' the game once the trial expires in a month's time. |

| I don't think it does autopost, I've certainly not seen any examples of it yet anyway.
From what I can tell all the Plus content is there too unless I'm missing something.
As for the remote navigation, I haven't tried it on the main menu but it has worked on the sub menus in games. |

| One problem I've noticed with the tests is that some of the descriptions aren't very clear, so the results will be a bit iffy until you've learnt how to play each test.
Still, the Wii Fit Meter seems pretty good. |

| I'm up for joining this gym, too, though I imagine I'll be picking it up mid-next month. Or possibly a bit later, pre-Christmas funds depending. |

| For better or worse I've just ordered the pedometer. You can sync the pedometer to the game and keep it for free up until February 1st, apparently. I've yet to play it even once, though! |

| I was thinking about getting the pedometer too, but I downloaded and played Wii Fit U well over 31 days ago, and I don't know if I'd still be eligible for the free upgrade. The pedometer seems to be selling for a bit cheaper than the RRP at the moment, so I might yet take the chance. |

| I'm a bit confused about how the Wii Fit Meter thing works -- can I buy a Meter and sync it whenever I want (so the game just stops working after January 31 and I have to sync a meter), or do I actually have to sync the meter before January 31 otherwise I lose access to the trial completely? |
