Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate - released everywhere - early 2015

Yep, it was just announced for Japan, and now it has a worldwide release date.

I know some people will be extremely happy about this. The Japan version (called 4G) is coming this fall, so while it seems far away, it isn't too much longer to wait.

I'm so happy right now    as I said to fronkhead on twitter a few hours ago I reckon we will see it in March 2015 as that was the time frame for 3 ultimate, little surprised its 3ds only but maybe they don't want it competing with mh3U? You have to think those servers will be on for a few more years yet as well.

I'm fairly happy sooner there was a Wii U version but will pick this up on the 3DS and a XL circle pad if I can find one to be able to play it.

YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YE- It's probably gonna suck as it's not on the PS4 anyways.   

I digress, I'm actually mega-stoked now it's been announced, can't wait for 2015 now!

Love 4 player MH3U, can't wait for this. Hope there's a Wii U version mind: I'll get it regardless, but it's nice having a hub for our hunts! (Of course my desire for a Wii U version has nothing to do with said hub been my sofa...)

I already liked the free hunt aspect in MH3U but the changes they are making with the new guild quests for 4U are just brilliant.

I especially love how you can get weapons with different randomised properties as this will make each hunter you meet online in the game unique as they won't (I hope) gravitate to the optimal build.

Very glad to see a brand new monster (even to 4) in there (pops up at 1:48) and it has a great look and move set to it, someone over on the MHwiki forums pointed out that it looks like one of the unused monsters from the MH illustration book. (I really should buy those books)

Glad the online will work properly, I must say though I miss having EU only servers. Now im not saying this for the traditional stereotype reasoning but I feel that MHU3 was too stretched connectivity wise.

Yeah, ok, I preferred not playing with the yanks.

I never really played too much with random folk in 3U as I generally hunted with people I know from here or twitter & I'll most likely do the same in 4.

It's nice to see that Capcom are adding more game crossover content for Europe than any other previous MH game we have got before, in Japan they have got this kind of stuff quite often through special event dlc but for obvious licence reason we never did.

Looks cool, still not sure if I will get the game especially if it comes to Wii U.

There probably won't be a wii U version.

What about those banners from TGS that the WiiU logo on. The other thing that might tempt me us that the New 3DS could out around about the same time.

It wasn't from TGS & it was confirmed as a printing mistake, also if a wii U version was on the cards it would have most likely been announced back when it was revealed it (MH4U) was getting an EU release.

Not to mention that Japan would get it first & there is no proper sign of it over there.

(side note: I'd love to have a wii U version as I'm not much of a hand held gamer)

I've not really been keeping up with MH4, I just saw that picture going around Twitter etc.

I'd be more interest in it if the New 3DS is out similar time then as it be something the uses the New 3DS.

I reckon there is a good chance of that since that MH4U will release alongside the new 3ds in Japan & there's even a special bundle.

Yep, it'll probably just be yer standard bundle (game & new system) which I'd be fine with as the MH4 N3ds doesn't have the snes coloured buttons. (I also don't want the XL version)

I'd be getting a XL I've tried playing a mates 3DS and it's just to small, so no SNES buttons for me but if it is a bundle then N3DSXL day one most likely for me.

The dimensions are slightly bigger (not far off an XL in fact) but even though I don't have a problem with the original 3ds this should be a bit more comfortable for extended play, I love the idea of the face plates as well.

I do like the face plates, and does look more comfy compared to the original 3ds which I found to square and uncomfy. But as I don't use the 3DS as a handheld apart from streetpassing, I want the bigger screen of the XL.

If you want to do a Monster Hunter crossover, may as well make it Nintendo's most-loved systematic genocider.
