Favourite button(s)?

NGamer once stated that they loved the whopping A button on the GameCube controller. What is (what are) your favourite button (buttons)?

For me, I love:

The NES B/A buttons (those indents!)
The N64 Z button (trigger-tastic, and in exactly the right place. So comfortable!)
The Wii Remote's A button (Exactly the right size, and absolutely no give in any unintended direction)

Very surprised that this is apparently the first thread on this. Anyway, you stole my thunder on the N64's Z, although I will put in a dishonourable for the Gamecube's Z. Nasty little thing. Further dishonourables go to the awkwardly shaped Start and Select buttons on the original Game Boy, and the awkwardly positioned + and - on the Wiimote.

I'm finding it much easier to come up with buttons I don't like! The Wii U's ZL and ZR are a'right, I suppose.

The triggers on the 360 pad, liked those. I'll second NGamer's love of the Cube's A button. I was quite fond of the Wiimote's B trigger thing by the end, despite not liking it initially.

It's years since I had a 360, but I rather liked the triggers, too. They snapped back in a very reassuring fashion. Unlike the crappy, huge shoulder buttons on the GameCube, for all the one game that used their analogue functionality.

Was that one game Luigi's Mansion?

All of the Gameboy Advance buttons. It had the perfect shape and less buttons muddled all over the place.

Those big round ABC buttons on the Mega Drive controller, so good.

Two - that and Sunshine.

1) The SNES pad's R button (not so much the L button - what a prick that was ).
2) The A and B buttons of the Wiimote.
3) The Nunchuk's Z button. Just something really satisfying about it.

I like the R1/L1 buttons on the Playstation controller too - not that they saw a world of use until the PS2.

Where do we stand on two shoulder buttons on each side? My tiny hands dislike them, but are pleased that the GamePad ones are in slightly different places.

I don't like the Gamepad's principal shoulder buttons if I'm honest. They feel loose and flappy. As to the general practice, I have no views on one side or the other (see what I did there).

The GamePad's buttons are... OK - I don't actually mind pressing them; L and R sort of give off an "ooh - what's that?" feel (I think I'm going mad). But temporarily putting the pad down sometimes means clipping the ZL/ZR buttons by mistake.

As for good buttons: All of the NES ones in principle; prior to that we had unergonomic joystick layouts. And, to balance out my earlier criticism, the WiiU D-Pad; playing Virtual Console games on that is a delight, compared with the tiny 3DS pad.

They're not too bad on PS3, but I'm not too much of a fan to be honest. I hope you get on with the ones on the New 3DS!

Forgot all about the Nunchuck's Z button on Wii! Loved using that. Can I also throw in that, B/A/Y/X/D-pad aside, I'm not a fan of the Wii U's GamePad at all? I much prefer the Pro Controller.

Yes! Not to you going mad (although... ), but to accidentally hitting ZR (usually ZR) loads of times. It mustn't have come up in Nintendo's testing of the controller.

I still hold that the Gamecube controller was the greatest of all time. OF ALL TIME.

How about those teeny buttons on the dreamcast VMU's? Also not sure if this can be classed as a button but I'm saying it anyway, the eject button of the gamecube had a nice wee pop to it when removing discs.

Someone called Novabug asked about peoples fav controllers and people normally VR him there picks depending on question. This is all on YouTube
I just watched TGS responses which was quite good.

I still think a controller vote would be good at somepoint as it's something everyone can take part in.

Now for something new(ish) the return of the snes colours on the new 3ds buttons, it makes me happy every time I look at it.
