Yesterday I Bought (a bad pun) for 3!

Shafted by Argos! I order eleven games for reservation, but only four of them arrived! They're a decent four, at least:



£26.46 for that. Forgot I'd ordered Bravely Second for a fiver, and was surprised that it was a big collectors edition, with a statue, book, soundtrack and other stuff.

Cannot wait for Cappa's views on Bravely Second. I predict he'll/you'll give it 5 eyes half the size of your head out of 5.

A bit of an oddity as seems the reprint might have only been in Poland, you don't see the reprints of Xbox 360 games often in the UK as is it let alone this.

Star Wars in backwards compatible, I oddly saw GamesAsylum talk about Way of the Samurai 3 a few days ago then bam it's in the game shop. Fire Emblem was from Argos, from the 3DS data I played Birthright and for £13 thought might as well get Conquest.

I bought Photoshop about a week ago. Well, by bought I mean I rent it for 9.99 per month.

I also bought the cheapest Wacom Tablet I could find -

I'm planning to become competent at drawing. Often I spend my lunch breaks at work doing nothing useful in particular. But soon I'll have a laptop that I can take into work, which will let me practice this stuff every day.

Noice! You should definitely both draw more, I miss Jas' doodlings (apart from me as Greninja ) and that is a very lovely dreamscape from Muss. Looks like something out of Indie Dreamworld Puzzle Platformer 12.

No idea really, Link seemed to move left to right and attack but enemy didn't seem to take damage.

Broke your weapon, mate, that's what happened. All the best Zeldas have weapon durability.

Bought these over the weekend.



The two games were bought in two separate charity shops for a quid each. It was nice to flip through the usual FIFA/Brain Training games to come out with those. 

The Wii U Pro Controller was bought in GAME on Glasgow's Union Street. The sales assistant commented to his colleague that I was buying it - apparently it had been sitting in the shop "for years". At £4, I was surprised it was sitting there at all.

It's Wii U, I'm surprised it was that expensive. Maybe all Wii U stuff will spike in price later? For now it feels like it's solely in the 'bargain basement' category.

I'm sure accessories for the U are still decent prices on eBay and the like along with the odd expensive game. Just the normal Nintendo stuff that would keep it's money has dropped because of Switch ports.

GTA: Chinatown Wars is some game as well, and it's a shame that Rockstar don't do fun spin off games like this anymore.

Hit and Run is the best GTA game ever.

Forgot to mention I bought a brand new Switch Lite for £145, which I think is a good price as a new New 2DS XL isn't much cheaper.

That does sound like a bloody good deal.

Who did you fleece for that deal?!

eBay loads on there around that price with a few I looked at including the one I bought saying it came with phone contract as a gift, like you see.

The two PoP Xbox games are backwards compatible, which is great as remember I'll be able to play that OG Xbox game on the Series X that's four generations apart.

F-Zero GX is a big GameCube game I've been missing for a long time, and with the PC Engine Mini delayed which I saw after getting the mag, had the money to buy it.

I would be interested in hearing how you get on with GX Mas. It's a game I wanted to like more than I did.

F-zero GX is legit, still in my top ten games. Super difficult though. I never did quite manage to beat the final cup on master difficulty - doing so would unlock a secret cup which you could otherwise only get by hacking or putting your memory card into the AX arcade machine.

I'm always a little tempted by the Disgea games. If I was to pick one up though it'd be on the laptop as it's so much cheaper on steam sales than it is on the Switch. Never played a Prince of Persia game

I got a steam voucher for my birthday so I've picked up Nioh complete edition - which had a huge discount - Wargroove - Planet Zoo and a game called Wildermyth, which I had never heard of but am very excited about.

It's an early access game but a polished one. Procedural generated, tactics RPG with permadeath (I think) which wants to simulate tabetop role playing campaigns by giving the player lots of choices to shape each campaign, while also letting fallen heroes be commemorated into a pantheon. I don't know if that affects other playthroughs but if so that's pretty cool. One for Balla I'm sure

Load of steaming shite Might be one for The Lady though.

It's the difficulty that prevented me from loving GX as much as I wanted to. Never mind Master Difficulty, the Story Mode kicked me to the ground and took several running punts at my crotch while I was prone.
