I'll likely pick up a physical copy of MHGU as I don't own a single Monster Hunter game physically. Beyond that, Okami might see a look in from me and I'm sure in the distant future I'll be all over Kiwami 2.

Nothing for me I think, Okami would have interested me had I not got it on PS4 at the end of last year and I've gone off PES (football games in general I guess) so no immediate plans to get that.
I suppose I could try Shenmue to see what all the fuss is about but I'm pretty sure it'll be garbage.

I'm little surprised Jas and Jay aren't looking at it but I do think lots of people who plays it for the first time will think it's archaic and be like why did you all want this back, where us that have played it will be like this is amazing.

I mean, I've got Yakuza 0 on the go and I've heard that described as being similar, if not even the spiritual successor, to Shenmue, so that'll do me nicely.

Not against getting the Shenmue 1 & 2 but it just isn't a priority at the minute since I've played them before so I think I'll leave them for Christmas.

Shenmue is 900 times better when played at Christmas. Not just because it's set during December, but it has a cold, lonely atmosphere that matches the season perfectly.
I didn't realise PES was out in August! I'll be picking it up and Shenmue 1/2 as well, if only to see what trophies are in there. For years they have been my favourite games, not because they are good games, but because they just blew me away. For the time, it was photo realistic and it had an incredible soundtrack - the first game to suck me in to its world. I suspect it's pretty archaic to play today, much like the early Resident Evil games, but it was a special moment in gaming. The ultimate nostalgic game to be honest, given you can play retro games within it, and collect toy capsules from SEGA's past.

That was the game I was trying to remember when we were on skype last night, the devs have said they are only focused on the ps4 and pc version for the time being so I can see it coming out on Switch eventually. I've got a fair few games lined up in August so I'm happy to play the waiting game.

Now I'm not that bothered about Guac but I do agree with Andy that if it's a good game then what platform is on shouldn't make a difference. I've said it a many a time a good game is a good game and that's how I look at it, I'd get the same enjoyment out of it playing it on whatever platform as long as the game is good.

Not wrong but you can't deny the comfort of taking games you love anywhere when you have them on Switch or those days when ye can't be arsed to turn on the telly so you just sit back and play them in handheld mode.

Jas has nailed it. This is bang on assuming the versions are equal in every detail, which the Switch one will never be. It'll always have the inherent advantage of being able to be played on the go. Depending on the game, it may have disadvantages too (RiME and Sexy Brutale's stuttering frame rates spring to mind), or there may be deals on other machines (Games with Gold/PS Plus), and of course there's the Switch Tax. When all's said and done, the Switch version is never going to be equally enjoyable for one reason or another.
Perhaps this slipped your mind Mas, as someone who never plays handheld mode? For Jas and Jay, the same doesn't apply.
Also Andy should definitely be more irked with you for not being bothered about Guac.

Yeah, I am someone that treats games likes films and doesn't play handheld mode that it is a valid reason but we don't know if the game will come to Switch, I hope it does though for the ones that do want it.
