So. That GDC stuff then - good news.

Inevitably, my news feed today is full of sites only getting half the story and assuming that Miiverse on Smartphones is the start of Iwata doing a 180 and Mario released for 99p on the Appstore. Yeah. :/

Of course, since posting this all the coverage is about Mark Rein's laughter. Sigh.

Walmart have listed Mario 3D U, Mario Kart 8 and Super samsh Bros 4 as Q4 for Wii U, I'm hoping this is true given that the PS4 and likely 720 will be out Q4. Nintendo needs to bring the big guns this holiday this holiday season, so little timmy ask for a Wii U and Not a PS4.

I'm hoping the rest of the year looks a bit like this for Wii U now

It's a nice idea but it would be madness for Nintendo to release three massive games like that so close together. I have a feeling that Super Smash Bros. 4 isn't that close but Mario Kart 8/U would be a good one to have out for the Christmas rush.

Yes its very unlikely but didn't super mario 3d land and mario kart 7 launch fairly close together. And i think Nintendo needs some big game's in Q4 for xmas. Maybe bayonetta 2 should come out Q4.

I really think that if Bayonetta 2 was going to be ready for Q4, we'd have seen some footage by now.

How long was the cap between showing bayonetta 1 and its release.

Oh, boy. I was about to make some joke about Disney's Planes not being a crappy spin-off from Cars... then I looked up what it was.

I doubt smash bros will see release this yeah, but I think it's imperative Nintendo get Mario and Mario kart out for Christmas.

Anyone picking up Earthbound when it's finally released over here? I am really worried that it'll feel old and clunky, but I'll pick it up anyway.

I am actually thinking about it even though I dislike turn based/menu driven battles, I just have to see why folk go doolally over it.

I'll definitely pick it up, just to see what all the fuss has been about for all these years.

In other news; Injustice delayed for a week. Now this is an injustice! I never quite get how a game can be delayed when its 2 or 3 days from release. Presumably a swear word in the instruction manual or something. I heard a rumour it was delayed for all consoles now, not just Wii U, which makes me happy in ways it probably shouldn't. Was anyone else thinking of picking this up? I just want a nice fighting game with a bit of Batman and Superman, so its right up my street.

I've played it and it's great! Feels quite Mortal Kombatish, so that's good because I love Mortal Kombat. I'm not so sold on the baance of characters though.

Mario 3D has been rumored for November for a while but I really can't see Smash Bros or Mario Kart coming this year. Yoshi will likely be out before those two.

Yes to Earthbound. I've been wanting to play it for years and years.

I can definitely see them getting Mario and Mario Kart out this year; that would match the 3DS and give the Wii U a good percentage of the kick it needs. I agree on Smash Bros. though. Remember how long Brawl took in the end?

Yes. I've played it before, but on an emulator (I know... this means I lied in NGamer magazine. I'm very sorry.) But if they charged £50 like SNES games were back in the day, I'd pay it.

So it's being rumoured that the Virtual Console is launching on Wii U on Tuesday, after Nintendo posted this picture on Facebook yesterday.



With last week's Nintendo Direct stating that the Virtual Console would launch the day after the latest system update, does this mean the system update is coming tomorrow? We shall see.

No NintendoLand thread? Well I'll just post this here. Unlocked two extra levels on Ghost Mansion last night, which I had no idea existed. Am I late to the party again? Anyone know if any of the other multiplayer NL games have unlockable levels?

I knew Don't think there's any other unlockable levels though in other games which sucks, Mario Chase could have done with two more.
