What's new (pussycat)?

The problem with the .org.uk address is that the url doesn't update when you view topics etc. - it always just displays "gnamer.org.uk", which means you can't copy and paste a topic link or anything.

Okay, then I'm not sure as I thought you were talking about the SONM home page which GNamer.org.uk must work that who ever PM'd could just follow that to the site.

On the links which I guess your putting in posts couldn't you use messedupcables as that's what appears for me and used to when we used Go Daddy to GNamer.co.uk.

We'll look into this again. Couldn't get it sorted last time. In the meantime, I suppose you could use messedupcables.forumotion.net although it isn't as easy to remember as gnamer.co.uk.

Didn't make a difference last time though Jay as if he want's to put links in threads as that also used to not update like the issue OR is having with .org

Of course, the Tingnamer revision of the forum was an April Fool's joke. Thanks muchly to all who played along and posted in the Tingle Discussion Forum - it didn't last long but will leave an indelible mark on our souls.

The question now becomes this: what do we do with the threads inside it? Some of them have made it onto the forum proper but the rest - 'What game with Tingle in it are you playing currently?', 'Post a Tingline!', 'Yesterday I Bought Reprise', 'Maps! Reviews/'reviews' welcome' and 'Tingle's Rumour Emporium!' - are in limbo (well, shifted so that only the Admins can see them). Should we merge them all into one topic and put them somewhere? Place them lovingly in the appropriate places of the forum? Cast them into the fire and flames of permanent deletion?

Got to be a bit of a case-by-case basis, dunnit? I'd say merge them with their origin threads, where these weren't posted in yesterday; and where they were, put them into the same sub-fora as their origin threads.

I would say just make a Tingle thread and put it all in there.

We'll always have Tingle. I also have to admit to liking how the big man is next to in the emoticon pane.

Trouble is, if you merge them all into one thread the posts are displayed chronologically.  So you'd have posts from five different threads one above the other, all from the same person.  It'd be impossible to grasp what little sense was originally there.

That is very true, so I had a thought: to attempt to maintain the clarity, we could edit in something like "Originally part of the 'Yesterday I Bought Reprise' thread". Of course, for the example I used, you could make a case that the posts should just go in the proper Yesterday I Bought thread...

Well, the Tingle Forum is no more... in its place we've got this archive, preserved for all eternity.

I see some people on that forgot there is already a sequel to Freshly-Picked Rosy Rupeeland

It seems that in addition to our omniscient Google-bot overlord and our slightly less omniscient Bing-bot, we've now got a Yahoo-bot too.

Forumotion have updated the mobile version of the site. It looks pretty swanky to me!

Very swish indeed, a word of warning though spoiler boxes seem to be automatically opened on the mobile site.

Regarding the spoiler tag thing - I've asked a question of the mighty Forumotion tech team and await their response. I'll let you know when it's fixed.

I've just made a announcement in July's What Games are Coming Thread for how I will be doing things going forward, this is something I've thought about doing for awhile and August seems a great time to implement what I want to do. I think this will be a great thing for the likes of Balla & Zero in months like August, but for more info check out July's thread.

I'm posting here as well as it's something New on the forum and would like to get everyone's thoughts on it.

As I'm not sure if everyone looks at the thread after seeing what's coming out that month and I would like some thoughts before August goes up next Sunday like can you come up with a better name then Best of the Rest for instance along with maybe what's covered.

It seems my moo moo meadows signature image is busted at the minute, probably to do with the site that hosts it.
