Hello there, I'm nupkin and I just joined...I've just recently got back into video games after a 10-15 year hiatus, so please be nice to me if I'm not au fait with Game Cube / DS / GBA references!!!

I got into video games when I was a kid - while the other girls in my class were fretting about shaving their legs and makeovers aged 9, I was stealing away to the corner of the playground to play Six Golden Coins on the Game Boy. I was the weird girl of the pack, and I'm very glad to say I'm still pretty odd!

Aside from video games, I like singing, going to concerts and musicals, cooking (badly), books, and chatting to absolutely anyone, including random strangers at pedestrian crossings. I don't like poor spelling and grammar (the fact that my username is all in lower case is entirely intentional) but equally detest intellectual snobbery if that's at all possible.

I was going to play some Super Mario Galaxy tonight but my left hand isn't up to holding a nunchuk after I tried zesting a lemon and ended up zesting my hand instead. That pretty much says it all about me really...

I could tell you how certain people do all the above and worse in front of me, but I don't think they'd appreciate that.

Luckily for your guys I'm not one of these highly-strung prima donnas in glittery high heels and it takes rather a lot to offend me!
