A piece that I copied of a piece I did last year, this time it's very Nintendo focused

Did some NX speculation of my own, based on things I noticed from previous generations.

Nice set of thoughts there, Mr. Jones! Any evidence that the NX isn't coming out this year is welcome for those of us who are saving for something else.

Lots of new stuff on Ginny. I approve. I'll have lots to read next work while I'm supposed to be working on my breaks.

A good read gJones, I disagree and I was thinking that I may do a rebuttal on Gintendo at some-point. Was going to do it here but there could be a post a mile a long.

And I did that rebuttal and here's why I think the NX may come out in 2016

Jones and Mas both make good points, though I'm inclined to agree with Mas overall. I decided to weigh in on the issue myself.

I saw somewhere Drunka's wish for every major Nintendo game to be represented on Gintendo, to carry on the good work and irreverent humour of NGamer and its forebears. It's a laudable aim and one that I approve of, so I've reviewed XCX for it. I won't be putting that one in my writer's portfolio, and will happily take it down if anyone wants to write a better one. But it needed doing.

Nice: balanced and fair, it felt (Yoda?) (not that I've played much of the game to know!).

To play XCX? Aw, I hope I haven't had that effect! I'm not lying when I talk about the quality of the world and the side-quests and the robots and that. If you ignore the main quest, it really is an amazing game - much like your beloved Spider-Man 2, Drunka.

On the other hand, if it's to finish XCX... then yes, fair enough. I'm struggling to do so myself. I do still hope to do so someday, because apparently there's a BIG TWIST at the end. TPHD and SF0 call before that, however.

Nice write-up Balla. This could spawn further articles about games we've given up on at the final boss. I know I did on Pikmin 3.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU PEOPLE.

The process (?) of gaining likes is a supremely random one. The only thing I've 'worked out' so far is the bigger the game, the more likely a heart (which is obvious, I know - but it's all I have). I've written some reviews I was really happy with - funny, sometimes; well-considered, possibly - but because they were smaller games they got no likes.

At least, that's what I tell myself.

Guys, we don't need hearts to tell each other what we think. We just tell each other right here. Plus, I've learned in life that there's no correlation between effort and reward. Elmo doesn't teach you that in Sesame Street.
Plus I forget to hit the heart button, so I just went back and did it on all of the things in the last 2 months that I read and liked.

We don't need them, but I do use them to gauge how much people like my stuff.  Like a review score, it's a quick and simple way to find out what people are interested in.

One way of looking at this is that people just aren't interested in BSEL.  Which I hope isn't the case.

It's a odd one Balla as Nitroplus has 1 heart, yet I've had a few people talk to me about the review and Drunka's Shadow Puppeteer also got 1 heart yet even the studio behind the game loved the review.

That it hard to gauge the interest as Drunka Pokken has 5 hearts but have really talked about that review or got any feedback also weren't we going to try use the comment sections on the site.

More sort of review is up for VITA exclusive Severed from Drinkbox, basically if you own a VITA buy this game. If not pray it gets ported to Wii U as that's the only system I could sort of see it working on unless then ad a D-Pad on the screen for a smartphone version.

That's a pretty good round-up. Having said that, I've not played a single one of them!

Thanks Zero, originally the plan was just to do a Top 10 but thought that might be a bit boring then it almost ended up totally being about how great the OG Xbox & 360 was then ending on Microsofts cock-ups since about 2012.

Which was actually a plan ages ago with OldSchool (what happened to OldSchool) as he thought all the Xboxes are rubbish with me then going what's so great about 2 of the 3 Xboxes.

I'll be honest Mas, I struggled to read that article. Despite that, it's a solid list of games and brought back many memories. Might sing the praises of the OG Xbox myself (make it different, natch) as I picked up Outrun 2 the other day.

Outrun 2 (which it really isn't) is rather good game from that generation.
