I can't be the only one playing this, surely?  It's so cute! Love

Got my copy over a week ago, haven't put it in the Wii U yet!

Well tear yourself away from Shuffle for half an hour and give it a go! Tongue

Last time I whispered it. This time I'm going to say it slightly louder. I'm at about the halfway point in the game, and I can safely say that I prefer YWW to SMW2YI.

Reasons:

KEY is still probably better, because I prefer its dynamics. Less obsessive collecting, fewer invisible goodies. But YWW is a good fun game, that's done a much better job with the Yoshi legacy than Arzest's limp efforts.

As hinted in a previous post, the collectible items are somewhat overdone. If people complain about N64-era Rare collectathons, YWW should be punched in its loveable woolly gut for the same reason. That said, it's classic Nintendo fun, just as it should be.

The 20 stamp patches are a particular pain.

Does anyone else feel really guilty about leaving Poochy behind, e.g. going through a door without him? He's so cute! Aww!

In Germany, Poochie's called Schnuffel (snuffle). D'aaaaaaaaaw!
I'm way behind on this

I'm with Jimbob - the last level I beat was 3-1 (v. nice level, by the way). However, I've not played it for about five days. Just too gosh-darned busy. Embarrassed

This and this, I'm praying for a Poochy Amiibo at some point just for aesthetic reasons.

Just spun through a couple of levels - 3-8 awaits. It's fun, it's pretty... but it's not new, I don't think.

For all my exuberance around this game, up to and including a Space Ark request, I've hit a wall here. It's the flipping collectables - too many of them, and yet I can't quite manage to forget them and move on. So yes, bit sick of this at the moment.

As I've gone on ive found myself much better at getting the collectibles, I think their placement becomes a lot more predictable. That being said I haven't bothered to replay levels to get everything, as long as Ive found all the Yarn Yoshi I'll be happy.

I've been coming back to this about once a week to try and 100% the thing. I know it's repetitive, but there's something primevally rewarding about the "all the things!" star appearing.

Also, can we talk about Yarn Poochy? If you don't like Yarn Poochy, there's something very wrong with you.

Oh, the stamps. Whilst some people are using them to make some properly lovely artwork, I seem to collect 18 or 19 of them per level most of the time now. Grrr! DAMN YOU!
