I'd stick one at my desk in the office, then zap back to it when asked a question.  The other, I'd just put in random places around London, terrifying people with its empty eye sockets.

There's a whole long list, but no character causes as much pain for so little reward as Sonic.

I'm not a fan of scary games, so when Year Walk jump-scared me I was not best pleased.

If you could make two Doppels of yourself, what would you do with them?
One of them would stay with the cat whenever she would otherwise be alone; she's quite a shy creature - Jo describes her as 'socially awkward', which is not unfair - and I'd just want to have 'someone' on hand, just in case. The other one could stay in Paris somewhere out of the way, so I could jump to it and practise my badly rusted French.

The first thing I bought to put my own stamp on the house was a mirror from a cool furniture shop down the road. The actual reflecting glass forms a circle in the middle and round the outside there are rectangles of glass of different colours, like a glowing sun made of rainbows. It's ace.

I would say Nathan Drake but a quiet, dignified death surrounded by his loved ones is too good a fate for the smug prick. He should be hung, drawn and quartered in front of a crowd made up of the families of the men he's killed.

PT, obviously. I was pretty drunk, alone, at a friend's house after everyone else went to bed. It's only really scary the first time, though.
That said, the fear I felt at Lavendar Town's music as a kid was far greater than what any game could achieve today...

Funnily enough, I don't think I've been more on edge than I was playing the opening sections of Bioshock. You're underpowered enough that the Splicers pose a threat, and the Big Daddy's are an near-impossibility. It's a tense part of the game, and they play up the scares. And then you eventually become a lighting-chucking shotgun-blasting demigod.

Anything they've shown off of Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam; although TPHD was a nice if unsurprising surprise.

Got to be Yoshi's Universal Gravitation.  Draw you in with a cool title, then hit you with an absolute shiter of a game.

The N64 Mario Tennis game, which makes the subsequent decline of the series even more frustrating.

Terry Pratchett by a county mile.  The Discworld books he wrote in his "middle period", when he'd found his feet and before his Alzheimer's set in, were phenomenal.

"Should we shut Muslims out of this country as a result?"  Anybody who answers "yes" is insta-banned until they've read up on the whole ISIS situation fully.

Learning that Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow were coming to the 3DS Virtual Console (sorry, "Classic Games From Past Systems" ). A brilliant thing that I never thought they'd do, particularly with wireless trading.

Donkey Kong Jr. is a little ropey.

NES Open Tournament Golf. It's been a favourite of mine ever since my Dad and I really got into it. Very simple these days, of course, but massive fun.

I've always been impressed by Admiral Bobbery's moustache, from The Thousand-Year Door.

Can only agree with Ballaman in his choice of Terry Pratchett. That said, JK Rowling is in with a shout of overtaking the big man. She pulled off a set of boy wizard books - Barry Trotter, or something, you may have heard of them? - but her mystery novels as Robert Galbraith are cracking things.

"What's your favourite tourist spot in Paris?" My answer would be the Arc de Triomphe (though I am desperate to visit The Arch at La Défense and am pretty sure it will earn top spot).

In terms of Nintendo's output, I've never really played anything I didn't get a fair bit of enjoyment from. Probably something on the NES that has aged horribly, like Urban Champions. It was never good, Nintendo, stop trying to tell me it qualifies as a classic.
