I got the island today. So now have access to bananas and lycées. Also Capp'n and his sea shanties are wonderful!

There's coconuts and mangos on my island. I've also got (every villain is) lemons, peaches and pears on the main island.

I must echo what everyone else is saying about the island: it's bloody brilliant, isn't it? Animal Crossing can flatline a little in the seasons where there's less to catch, so the addition of the diving suit, perma-Summer and addictive minigames is just great.

Well I'm heading back to get more fruit and other fish for the aquarium

Got my first badge! I've caught half of all the fish there are, apparently. Also the whale shark's face is great.

That's one I lost in my island trip.

Almost paid for an entire bridge from my three island tours today. Do the other villagers actually contribute at all?

The villagers in my town contributed a couple of hundred bells to my fountain. I squared up the rest of the 98,000 Bell tab, cause I'm a kindred spirit or some bollocks like that.

On another note, has anybody found out conclusively which pays more for stuff: Re-Tail or Nooks? I took a load of fish to Nooks and was offered 28,000 Bells, whereas Re-Tail offered me 35,000...

I think Re-Tail pays more but with lose of bells at Nook's your investing in it's development?

Yeah Re-Tails pays more, that's how I managed to pay off my second home loan and now they are going to help me pay the last 60,000 bells for my fountain.

After I go see if I can get a wetsuit today to go swimming in Eterna and not the island. Also the weather seems to be crap in my town, it's been raining the last few days

Treesmurf has had the honour of being my very first visitor. Of course I tracked him down and tried to use my fishing rod on him and then asked him if he liked my hat. BEST FRIENDS x

Really liking this game, but an Elephant in my town keeps inviting me back to her house. o_O

Hello, my name is Simon, and though I understand the appeal of Animal Crossing games now and am thoroughly enjoying (particularly) catching fish in Lolberg, it can't carry on. My gaming time is too limited to spend it all with something as all-consuming as AC:NL.

So... you're not playing it any more for your own good? Can't you limit yourself to half an hour a day? I want to visit Lolberg in order to say "LOL" at you over and over again long past when it's stopped being funny.

Finished my first project last night and now tomorrow due to it being the summer solstice I'm going to build a new bridge.

And I'll keep my gates open today while I'm at work until the communication error  undoubtedly pops up

Charlise has decided to build her house in the worst location ever! (Just in front of my notice board) so I proceeded to hit her with my net until she got mad.

Then I filed a complaint to Isabelle that she was using bad language, I really hope this is enough to make her move.

I'm not sure but it looks like you can kick an animal out of town by reporting them to Isabelle?

Poncho has decided he's my new best friend, I'm not complaining because he reminds me of my favourite teddy bear. But this morning he invited himself to my new and undecorated house and complained that I have no wallpaper... 
I've also gotten stung 3 times by bees so far today, I hate the solstice...
