Yesterday I Bought (a bad pun) for 3!

I'm pretty sure Rayman 3D is just Rayman 2 which has been ported to everything pretty much.

Rayman 3D is a fairly dodgy 2011 port of the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2, from all the way back in 1999. It's better than the 2004 DS version though, and around the same price. At a fiver, it's okay.

Maramusa was really good on Wii. From the few hours I remember playing it, I found to be quite an interesting take on an action RPG. I'd probably be more into that type of game if there were more that were like Maramusa.

It helps that it eliminates some of the main bugbears for those who aren't too keen on the genre: you know when and where battles will occur, it's an action-based battle system, and the story can be quickly skipped without losing too much. I could barely remember any of the characters by the end, but I still had fun.

Got Panzer a few days ago for £12 which is cheap for it at the moment even if slightly pointless as I own digitally, this is a weird case that digital is cheaper for most of these OG Xbox games and you're supporting the backwards compatibility team by buying them over a used physical copy but boxes and manuals are so nice.

Then today I got Henry Hatsworth for £2 it does have damage to the back of the case though then I got Batman Night of Owls Hardback for £10 wasn't sure if that was good price or not as I can see on the back it was £23 but used graphic novels are an odd thing, then on another stall I got Saga Vol 1 & Kick-Ass Vol 1 for £5 and the print for £10 again not sure if a good price or not also I've got nowhere to put it, so currently it's on top of my cardboard.

I'm out of control when it comes to digital games...

from a shrine in Ise yesterday! I feel very cool wearing it now, if I ever have to go home to the UK I'll keep it on as a pretentious reminder of my time in Asia.

Doubt I would want to comeback if I was out there for as long as Drunka has been and if he finds a places, gets a job then I would think he's set.

I'm hoping to find sufficient employment to extend my visa, definitely. In an ideal world I'll live out here for the foreseeable future: very little desire to return to the UK, and that only gets exacerbated every time I hear any news from home.

Hoping you do as it's looking more and more likely it will be 2019 I'll be heading to Japan, I'm doing well with my savings for me by buying likes of standard God of War not the special edition, cancelling Labo and something like God of War I'd normally keep I'm more than likely going to trade in for Detroit.

That this year could still be doable but be like October trying to book and come out in November, that financial injection of 58 Walmart shares next year will make it easier to plan farther in advance.

Guess could also use this time learn some Japanese beyond Kawaii, Senpai.

I'm not sure October would be the best time to visit anyway. Ideal Japan visiting seasons are Spring or Autumn, for sure.

October is Autumn and next year it would be after June or July as that's when Walmart shares come out, just not got any coming out this year as I forgot to do it.

Also with the whole Sainsbury's thing, I don't know if they'll drop or go up but at the moment a share is $85 which 58 would be $4,930 at the moment, one point they were over $100 each as old boss sold his just before hand and was going on about it, I'm going flog mine right away.

Yeah, October probably would be Autumn. Japan has proper distinct seasons, whereas I'm too used to the UK, where we get three weeks to enjoy Spring, Summer and Autumn in quick succession and then it goes back to grey, dull, eternal winter.

I'll let you know what June and July are like. I get the impression it'll be properly hot.

If they come out July, then September would seem a good time to come out at the start of autumn.

If I'm still here, that'd be sick because we could drink for my birthday.

That's fair. If you've got nothing tying you here (apart from us, natch ) there are places you can go without needing to bang your head on the wall every time the politics comes up. That said, we're counting on you to spread feminism over there!

Nothing to add to current discussions, just more books from various recommendations I got a month back.  Got a big haul of something besides books coming in a few weeks though (hint: it involves guys that punch and kick things and sometimes throw magic around).  Helps tide things over while my life is on hold until some tradies finish faffing around.

More Studio Ghibli which is always a good thing



You might have seen me talk Witcher 3 before as I do own it digitally on PS4 but the season pass is £20 and this on Xbox One was £15 as I've yet to play the game part from an hour, I'd be restarting anyway and I hear this is a real looker on the One X that why not play on that instead of on PS4 maybe getting into then paying £20 for the DLC.

I've also got Evil Within 2 coming for Xbox One for £5, I'm finding now that Xbox is the best place to play due to having a One X game are much cheaper than PS4 and miles more than Switch.

Right, mate. You need to promise you're gonna pack in all your nonsense, sit down and play Witcher 3 properly. Put the difficulty down if you need to, follow the main plot if that feels comfortable to you, but sit down and engage with it. I know you didn't bring enough to the table with Dark Souls or Breath of the Wild to fully get anything out of them, but this has a lot more plot and direction to it. Nonetheless, exploring the environments and chasing up sub-quests and reading the lore will get you into it more.

Also, it's worth reading The Last Wish if you can get it. I just picked it up from Waterstones for a few quid easily enough.

From what I've played of Witcher 3 it is more my sort of Western RPG, where those two games you bring up one I do like but not for me and the other is rubbish.

The Witcher 3 is one of the best games ever made. I've not read any of the books it's based on but would definitely be interested in doing so at some point. Pretty sure I read that Geralt of Rivia is now on some Polish stamps too.
