| It made me wince. I really don't like killing animals unless they deserve it (like mosquitoes). Still, if there's a plague of the blighters setting up shop, I'd probably have nuked 'em with that horrible insect powder. |

| If it were anything other than spiders I'd be with balla, but my fear/ hatred is irrational and overpowering. One of the reasons I'm glad I don't carry a gun is the fear that my house would be pockmarked with holes where spiders used to be. |

| Today's amusing, embarrassing, revealing-of-inherent-prejudices event: I live in a slightly rough area. So when a big black guy and his mate shout "'scuse me" at me, I'm inclined to hare off in the other direction. But I turned anyway. Turns out, they want to ask me where me scarf's from. My Umbreon-shaped scarf. |

| In my imagination, they've probably got no idea about Pokémon and just liked the idea of a scary face peering out of the gloom of their scarves. |

It's certainly better than a band I was subjected to just before New Year. Alice in Thunderland. Seriously. |

Dry Bones/Bowser, Metal Mario, Baby Mario/Luigi, Princess Peach. Because that's the first thing I thought of when reading it. Then followed by having the urge to listen to Babymetal (Doki Doki Morning fo' life!). |

| Yes, the ranking Drunka's referring to was based on the Mario Kart games' (and especially MK8's) irritating tendency to fill up the slots with Dry and Metal and Baby versions of the characters. |

| I have a job interview tomorrow and I have been reading up so I know what I am talking about. I am going to have to do some serious lying. Just reading the material I got made my skin crawl. We have the strongest tobacco laws in the world and reading how they believe they should be able to market their product in any way they feel 'reasonable' sickens me. If I had my way, you could only sell tobacco if you had a licence to do so, in a licensed tobacco store that only sold tobacco, with no signage outside, other than "Names" Tobacconist, like a sex store, where people felt uncomfortable going in. That would also mean no person could even enter unless they were over 18 and I would still make all the brads stay behind closed cabinets and in plain packaging. So yes, I am going to sell my soul to the devil and lie my arse off. I have never smoked, nor my partner. I was pretty much a nazi about smoking way back in the 70s when it was social suicide to be so. No one could smoke in my home or car, including my mother. She didn't like it and I told her not to visit if that was more important, and that I wouldn't be visiting her if she smoked in front of me. She also told me no son of hers would tell her she couldn't smoke in my car. I told her she was quite welcome to walk. My attitude hasn't changed. Smoke all you like, just not in public places where others have to suffer for it. Wish me luck ....... or not, a job is a job and if I didn't get it, I am pretty sure I won't be bothered, even though I like money. |

| I'm not sure whether I can really wish you good luck for that one, OldSchool: I have similar feelings about tobacco, and if they couldn't find employees for the companies, they wouldn't be able to produce it. Granted, you not applying wouldn't change things, I'm sure - but perhaps they'd have to get someone really awful instead of you, who would accidentally blow up the factory? |

| Then I'll say 'good luck': good luck, oldschool! Having a job is better than the opposite, in my book, and I'd much rather have someone with a sound conscience working in tobacco than the opposite. |

| Well that was the interview done. I thought I connected well, but there was something missing that is hard to describe, so I am not confidant of getting it. Oh well, now we play the waiting game ...... Ahh, the waiting game sucks. Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos! Speaking of waiting: [img] [/img] |

| Sorry for the DoPo. I've just noticed that Sunday, even more so than Saturday, seems to result in the forum being almost empty. This confuses me: I'd have thought that, during the week, people are busy at work, while on Saturday people are out and about, leaving Sunday as the most popular day for posting and general Internet mucking-about. Obviously this is not the case.
What do you all do with yourselves on Sunday? A lonely bored gent sitting at home would like to know! |

| I'm usually out from about 6pm on a Sunday, so I'm not about here in the evenings. Usually about during the afternoon, but it was pretty empty here, all told! |

| Sunday is the perfect time to visit family or friends, or just sit somewhere and take stock of the week. It's all good.
Where are you going, Mr. shanks? Wherever it is, have fun! |

| On the better half of the planet, we always have the problem that a great deal of your awake time is our sleep time, and vice-versa. As for Sunday, I am no more likely to post than any other day, keeping in mind, when it is your Sunday, it is our Monday - we who live in the future. |
